Abbie Cornish

  • Abbie's an actress - you might have seen her in Sucker Punch or Limitless.
  • She grew up on a 170 Acre farm in Australia - if you don't know how big 170 acres is, imagine the wood in Winnie the Pooh, double it, and remove a bit.
  • She was voted Australia's Sexiest Vegetarian in 2008 - and she hasn't eaten meat since the age of 13.Abbie Cornish is, confusingly, not Cornish. Instead she was born in Lochinvar, which sounds like it's in Scotland but in fact it's in New South Wales, which is nowhere nearactual Wales and is about as far away as possible, in Australia. This dizzying trail of wrong-footing and red herrings clearly shows that Abbie Cornish has something to hide.
Or not! Let's pretend she doesn't, for the sake of this profile. Aside from whatever terrible past Abbie Cornish's concealing, she's an actress of course - you're most likely to have seen her in 2011's premier psychological abuse / giant robot battling / burlesque-dancin' flickSucker Punch, in which she played the armour-clad, sword-toting Sweetpea. She also narrated the film, like a young, blonde female Morgan Freeman.
Abbie Cornish has, of course, done other things as well. Her first role was alongside Hugo Weaving (the guy who played both Elrond and Agent Smith) in the award-winning short film Everything Goes back in 2004, she played Wally Winthrop in Madonna's W.E., and she was the female lead in Limitless, a film in which Bradley Cooper takes a load of drugs and that's basically okay because SCIENCE.
Oh, and this one time, Abbie Cornish was an owl. In Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole, Zack Synder's foray into children's films and needlessly long titles, she played Otulissa, who is both an aspiring navigator and a short-eared owl. Although, y'know, it was all done with CGI. They didn't dress her up in an owl suit or anything.
